Toyota Land Cruiser Climbs to the Top of 2024 Fuel Efficiency Ratings

As the covers continue to come off cars set to hit the roads in 2024, the Toyota Land Cruiser is making its mark as the most fuel-efficient model among its peers. The carmaker recently announced this through its official website, and it’s expected that the upcoming Land Cruiser will achieve fuel consumption figures uncommon in this category of vehicles.

Toyota Land Cruiser Reigns Supreme Once Again

The Land Cruiser has emerged with its new figures, triumphing over a substantial number of contenders, notably the Ford Bronco, Land Rover Defender, and other esteemed names that have long shined in the realm of versatile off-road SUVs.

The 2024 Land Cruiser embarks on its journey towards hybridization, equipped with a powertrain consisting of a 4-liter inline-four engine coupled with another 2.4-liter engine linked to an electric battery. These engines combine their power through an 8-speed automatic transmission.

This version has been built on the TNGA-F platform, previously employed in the Toyota Tacoma edition. This platform is known for its fuel efficiency, as rated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), achieving 20 miles per gallon (MPG), which translates to around 9 kilometers per liter. However, in the new Land Cruiser, fuel consumption reaches an impressive 40 MPG, equivalent to about 17 kilometers per liter.

With this, the prestigious brand Toyota has truly outdone itself, offering its beloved version to the global market with an unprecedented fuel efficiency in the Land Cruiser’s history.
