This term is used to express the battery capacity in electric cars, indicating the amount of energy consumed per hour.

Electric Range

The distance an electric car travels on a single charge (at full charge), measured in either kilometers or miles.

AMP (Ampere)

Represents the maximum flow of electric current to the battery, with most electric cars accommodating approximately 32 amperes.

Level 1 Charging

This charger uses a 110-volt outlet, making it one of the slowest types of chargers, taking 8-24 hours to fully charge the battery.

Level 2 Charging

This charger uses a 240-volt outlet and is one of the most commonly used charging types in charging stations and other public places worldwide.

Level 3 Charging

This is the least commonly used but fastest type among them. It has the ability to charge the car battery to 80% in 30 minutes and is sometimes called DC.

Battery Pack

This term refers to the main component of the electric motor in the car, which is the battery.

Lithium-Ion Battery

One of the types of batteries used in electric cars and the most common due to its ability to retain a high amount of energy. This battery is composed mainly of lithium ions.

CCS Port (Combined Charging System)

This is the electrical connector used for charging in most electric cars. It has been manufactured to global standards and has been standardized among most brands.

Regenerative Braking

An advanced system used in electric and hybrid cars. It works to regenerate the energy lost by the car during braking and deceleration, converting it back to the battery for reuse.

State of Charge

The gauge behind the steering wheel that indicates the remaining battery charge percentage, symbolized by SOC.
